Solar panel safety controller

At a basic level, the Thermomax SC100 safety controller monitors the temperature differences at various positions on the solar panels and hot water cylinder through a number of sensors.

If the temperatures in the system exceed the various pre-set levels, the SC100 controller activates the pump and transfers the excess hot water from the solar panel(s)to the cylinder for storage.

The Thermomax SC100 controller is used in standard solar thermal installations.

The SC100 is equipped with the newly developed illuminated display with system monitoring.

Holiday Function

If the home owner users too little water or none at all (eg during holidays or in a holiday cottage a completely heated hot water cylinder can cause the solar energy system to begin evaporation prematurely which will ultimately lead to reduced efficiencies and degradation of equipment. 

However, when the 'holiday' function is activated in the SC100 controller and the temperature in the cylinder reaches 10°C below the set maximum storage temperature, the controller switches on the pump which circulates the the gycol through the pipes and panels until the set minimum temperature has been reached.

An excellent feature which gives ultimate peace of mind especially when you go away on holiday.
