Pre insulated or district piping minimises the heat loss when running hot water feed pipes from your shed / garage to your house.

Although the pre insulated is not very environmentally friendly and is more expensive than standard lagged pipes, it will save you money in the long run by reducing your long term fuel costs and increasingly boiler efficiency.

Typical heat loss from pre insulated pipes can be as low as 1 degree celsius over a 25m run as against a 5 degree celsius per 10m heat loss when standard lagging is used. 

Kerry Biofuels strongly recommend that, wherever possible, you use pre insulated pipes when installing a wood pellet boiler in an outside shed, garage or boiler house.
