There should be a gap of approx. 10-15 cm between the silo and the wall in order to permit ventilation behind it.

The silo height naturally depends on the height of the room. The distance between the steel supports and the ceiling should be 20 to 25 centimetres, because the filling pipe will take up this space.

Filling

Filling the hopper is from a camlock fitting (supplied) on the side of the hopper.

All hopper walls all have impact protection which minimises the build up of pellet dust which can occur if pellets are blown against hard surfaces, such as block walls.

Poor pellet quality can affect the efficiency of your heating system.
